Peace Arch State Park
Peace Arch State Park, WA
This past November of 2019 two friends and I flew out to Washington and road-tripped back down to California (I've decided to document the route on the new travel blog for those interested in details). To start it off, we stopped here, at the Peace Arch State Park, up on the Canadian border. From there, we worked our way south.
This stop, and the entire drive up, was beautiful. The overcast, drizzly sky. Views over calm waters. The green of grass, moss, and pines, paired with the reds and browns of late fall, all saturated from the light rain. Colors were vivid, the air so very fresh and damp––the tide of autumn was very present and alive, even as much of the view had long began to go dormant for the oncoming winter.
