Olympic National Park, WA
This forest has been on my list of places to see for years, so finally being able to wander its trails and explore its mossy wonder was pretty exciting. We arrived on an early winter morning––a brisk 30 degrees––as the morning light fell through the canopy and steamed off the frost and moisture below. There were but a few other hikers, otherwise we had the place to ourselves. We only explored the Hall of Mosses trail, for time's sake, but I'd love to venture down the longer trails some time.
