Dungeness Wildlife Refuge
Two friends and I went on a road trip through the Pacific Northwest - the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge was one stop of many. I found this morning to be incredibly calming. This stretch of land between the ocean and the mountains is unique in its two extremes. There aren't too many places in the United States where you can get ocean and snow-capped mountain views in one. Someday I'd like to return to the spit and walk the full length of it. The lighthouse rests at the very end, offering tours to visitors.
